Justin Bieber became visibly emotional while discussing his protective feelings for Billie Eilish during a recent interview on Apple Music’s Beats 1. Promoting his new album Changes, the 25-year-old singer opened up about his connection with the 18-year-old star, who has been a long-time fan of his music.\n

When interviewer Zane Lowe inquired about his relationship with Eilish, Bieber teared up, expressing the uncertainty of life\u2019s opportunities. \u201cI don\u2019t know how many chances I\u2019m going to get,\u201d he said, becoming emotional. \u201cWe never know how many opportunities we have with anybody. I\u2019m tearing up thinking about it, especially with the recent loss of Kobe [Bryant].\u201d\n
Bieber confirmed his feelings of protectiveness toward Eilish, stating, \u201cI definitely feel protective of her.\u201d He elaborated on the challenges he faced as a young artist, saying, \u201cIt was hard for me being that young in the industry, not knowing where to turn. Everyone tells you they love you, but they can turn their backs on you in an instant.\u201d\n
