She stood at the center of one of the most explosive legal battles involving a member of the British royal family—now, Virginia Giuffre says she doesn’t have much time left.
Virginia Giuffre, a prominent advocate for victims of sex trafficking, has revealed she is facing a critical health battle following a severe bus crash.

In an emotional Instagram post on Monday, Virginia shared a photo showing deep bruises on her face. She claimed she has been given just four days to live after suffering kidney failure.
“This year has been the worst start to a new year,” she wrote. “I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.”
The crash, she said, involved a school bus traveling at high speed. The exact location of the accident remains unknown. Describing the impact, Virginia said a school bus driver had come at her vehicle while traveling at 110 kilometers per hour as she and others were slowing for a turn.
She remarked that in such a situation, it didn’t matter what the car was made of. Virginia ended her message with what sounded like a farewell to her followers. Giuffre said she was ready to go, though she hoped to see her children “one last time.” She thanked people for being “the wonderful people of the world” and for playing a part in her life.
Giuffre, who is also known for accusing Prince Andrew of sexual abuse—allegations he has denied—has become a key figure in the international conversation on sex trafficking and victim support.
